Chicken Influence Map:
When designing my character, I looked at films such as Chicken Run and Ice Age, as well as images of rubber chickens. I feel that the rubber texture of my character will look best in a Pixar-like style, i.e Toy Story. The plasticine models used in Chicken Run gave me some ideas on how to shape the chicken's face so that it looks rubbery and will cause an audience to engage with the character. I looked at the character Sid, from Ice Age, as his body shape is similar to what I had in mind for my chicken. Also, his movement and flexibility can help me to develop the bendy quality of my character.
You have nice references here, and yes sid would be a good character to look at it particularly from his shape and the way he moves, as we discussed before. Can't wait to see your character designs :)
